HAHMGS Celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2008!

...it was twenty years ago today...
The Heart of America Historical Miniature Gaming Society held our first convention in 1987. It's been 20 years and 4 (or is it 5?) versions of Command Decision since then, and we're still going strong.

We'll have special guests and promotions at our conventions Call to Arms (May 2-4) and Borderwars (Oct 3-5).

As well as other events celebrating 20 years of historical miniature gaming in the Kansas City Area!

Check back as we'll be revisiting 20 years of HAHMGS History.

New convention director

Todd Carter
(That's Sargant Carter!)

Call To Arms 08 will have a new convention director,
Todd Carter!!

Todd has recently returned from Afghanistan and will be taking over the convention duties from Brian Beal. Todd has several ideas for our next show, and hopes to see you at Call to Arms 08, May 2-4 2008.

DUKE SEIFRIED UNABLE TO ATTEND SHOW

Duke was to be our special guest at Call to Arms 2008.

However he underwent a triple bypass last week, and even he will have to rest for a couple of days.

We still will have his John Carter of Mars game, but not the AWI game.

Our positive waves go out to the Duke, and we will have a big card for everyone to sign at the show.

ACW GAME DAY IN LAWRENCE AUGUST 16, 2008

HEY! HAHMGS MEMBERS IN MANHATTAN!

Did you know there's a game store in Manhattan? Well, we didn't either, cuz it's kinda hard to find.

It's the Patch & Crow's Nest, 1800 Claflin Rd., Ste. 1 (lower level). In the little mini-mall next to the campus, on the way to Jardine. Just keep opening doors until you find the stairs going down.

They've got comics, RPG stuff, board games and historical miniatures.

Check 'em out if you're in the Manhattan area.

And tell em HAHMGS set you!

HEY! HAHMGS MEMBERS IN LAWRENCE!

Did you know there's a game store in Lawrence? Well, we didn't either, cuz it's kinda hard to find.

It's the www.htgames.com  at 23rd and Penn, behind the Dukin Donuts.

There's a gaming area in the back, and  semi-regular Sunday Historical Miniatures gaming.

Tell em HAHMGS sent you!

THANKS FOR COMING TO BORDERWARS '07!

HAHMGS wishes to thank FRANK CHADWICK for putting on the first ever Command Decision tournament right here in Kansas City.

Frank wants to thank everyone who attended for giving him such a warm welcome. This was his first time coming to Kansas City. Frank says the convention and the people were both 'just great', and he can't wait to come back to the Heart of America.
