due to new technology or new tactics.
EXAMPLES:
- Spanish
conquest of America
- European
Colonial wars
- The
early Boer War
- Italian
invasions of Ethiopia & Libya
- Viet
Nam war of unification, 1946-1975
(no one said the advantage would guarantee a victory)
- US
Indian wars
- The
many invasions of Afghanistan, i.e. British, Russian, American
Future
Shock also includes the potential early development of technologies
and what their effect on warfare would be...or, to put it another
way...
VICTORIAN
SCIENCE FICTION!
Any
conflict during the period of Queen Victoria's reign (1837-1901)
which includes, in addition to a historical background, setting
and participants, any one or more of the following qualifiers:

Civilizations

HAHMGS
is secure enough in its historicalness not to be threatened
by the latest fads in gaming. And we're not too proud to jump on
board the latest giant walker to stomp across the face of miniature
gaming.
So,
get ready for flying gunboats, walkers, land ironclads, Martians,
dinosaurs and gentlemen to invade Kansas City.

Early 1770's
SCALE: 28mm, 1 figure=1 person
PLAYERS: Up to 8
RULES: Modified "Matchlocks on the Warpath" skirmish rules
LENGTH: 3-4 hours
You

be paying you a visit to serve you with an eviction notice...or
bury a tomahawk in your head!
This
will be a skirmish game with players controlling groups of homesteading
pioneers or woodland indian warbands. It will have the feel of an
Old West shootout, but in an earlier western frontier setting (think
Daniel Boone instead of Wyatt Earp). Inspired by the highly recommended
historical novels of James Alexander Thorn and Allan W. Eckert.

LENGTH: 3-4 hours
RULES: Gaslight/Space 1889 (modified)

Having
fought their way past (or been repulsed by) the Martian airships,
